This article is the result of a study carried out on the process of militarization of Brazilian society, using discourse analysis with the aim of analyzing the historical, social and political process of institutionalization of the policy of militarization of public policies in the Brazilian context that they authorize the knowledge-power coming from the military field in carrying out propositions that go beyond the military scope. From the elaboration of the discursive archegenealogy of military interventionism, it was possible to observe the construction that allowed the military intervention discourse to occupy a privileged position of power-knowledge within Brazilian society, making public policies, such as especially the educational ones exemplified by PECIM, powerful devices to strengthen and legitimize their discursive practices and the regime of truth that supported authoritarian political actions.
